With the help of New Leaf Andrew has a bright new future doing something that he really loves.

Andrew from Sutton Weaver, Cheshire had previously worked in warehouses before becoming unemployed. He wanted to find another job and wanted to explore other alternatives that would suit him better and that he would find more rewarding but didn’t know where to start. Andrew was struggling to find direction, was unsure what he wanted to do and was lacking in confidence until New Leaf helped him.

After a course of meetings and guidance from his mentor, Andrew identified an interest in carpentry / joinery. He was referred to the New Leaf Employer Engagement adviser Jodie, which resulted in an opportunity for a joinery apprenticeship.

After completing and progressing through all the selection stages and with ongoing encouragement and advice from the New Leaf Team, Andrew was officially offered an apprenticeship with Mulbury Homes.

Andrew says that:

“New Leaf has given me clarity, direction and allowed me to progress to an apprenticeship. The programme has offered a lot more than what I expected and will now allow me to gain and establish a long-term career in something enjoyable”.
