New Year Honours

Zephyr Gaunt from Acorn Recovery

My participant came on programme December 2020, had been in addiction for over 30 years and was coming up to 1 year clean when he signed up to the programme.

He wanted to become a support worker/counsellor in the recovery field and at that time was volunteering at a drug and alcohol project.   He had not worked since being on a YTS when he had left school and had no qualifications and had never used a computer.

Due to the nature of the job role he was looking for he needed computer skills and so went on a number of courses including digital inclusion to help him towards fulfilling his new career.

Since being on programme he has grown from strength to strength and now works in rehab with people with substance abuse and is now a successful member of his team at work.

If you would like help and support from New Leaf to help you to get closer to employment ,then why not sign up to New Leaf  today .

New Leaf can help get you on the right path to a brighter future.

New Leaf is led by Torus Foundation and is part of the building Better Opportunities Programme, funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and The National Lottery Community Fund.
