Tips for Christmas Wellbeing

While Christmas is one of the most wonderful times of the year, it can also be one of the most stressful too. Here’s a few tips to help you through the festive season.

Manage expectations

We often feel pressure to have a ‘perfect’ Christmas and can end up disappointed. Remind yourself it is just one day.

Delegate

If you are organising things for the big day, don’t be afraid to delegate. People are generally happy to help and many hands make light work.

Get enough sleep

It’s a busy time of year and it’s easy to get booked up before you know it. Make sure you plan for a few early nights so you don’t burn yourself out.

Moderate

Try using relaxation techniques such as deep breathing to cope with anxiety or tension brought on by the added stresses, instead of self-medicating with alcohol.
