We’re supporting European Week for Waste Reduction

European Week for Waste Reduction is all about considering how we use the earth’s resources and implementing ways to cut down on the negative impact we make.

This EWWR we challenged everyone working on the New Leaf programme to promise to make a small change in their lives to benefit the environment. We hope that all our small changes will add up to make a big difference.

We have had an incredible response from across the New Leaf partnership with over 50 different promises being made. Janet from Dial West Chester chose to offset the carbon emissions from a recent trip away. Over at Disability Information Bureau, the team are trying a bit of everything, from cutting down on the stationary they use, to walking to work when they can. In our programme team, Andy, our programme manager, is going paper-free

Here is just a small selection of small changes you can make to improve our environment:

New Leaf is led by Torus Foundation and is part of the Building Better Opportunities Programme, funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and The National Lottery Community Fund.
